The American Welding Society, founded in 1919, is a multifaceted,
nonprofit organization whose major goal is to advance the science,
technology and application of welding and related joining
disciplines. From factory floor to high-rise construction, from
military weaponry to home products, AWS has lead the way in
supporting welding education and technology development to ensure a
strong, competitive and comfortable way of life for America and its
people.
The Association for Facilities Engineering (AFE) is a member
organization of facilities engineers and other top management
professionals representing a cross-section of industry. Our members
work in manufacturing, healthcare, education, government and other
segments of business and academia. Our principal charter is to
provide our members with educational opportunities, networking,
