full range of consulting services tailored to the needs of small and
mid-sized manufacturers and related technology based businesses.
Georgia Tech's Business & Industry Services provides
comprehensive assistance to boost Georgia's business and industry.
GBMP is a non-profit group based at the University of
Massachusetts focusing on Continuous Improvement education and
facilitation. Programs are led and developed by Bruce Hamilton,
former Shingo Prize recipient.

A new professional society, the International Society for Systems
Improvement (ISSI) has been formed to facilitate the dissemination
of ideas and research results among those interested in the
improvement of systems.
The University of Kentucky offers a comprehensive program of
assistance to companies in all phases of implementing lean
manufacturing. Program elements include consultation, workshops,
education and training courses, and in-plant workshops designed so
that follow-up activities may be conducted by company facilitators.
The
mission of the Lean Enterprise Forum is to promote the creation,
sharing and practical application of knowledge about Lean
Enterprises. Part of the University of Tennessee. Must be a member

The Lean Enterprise Institute was founded in August of 1997 to
promote a set of ideas commonly known as lean thinking. The
intellectual basis of these ideas is explained in a series of
volumes and articles co-authored by Dr. James P. Womack and
Professor Daniel T. Jones over the past twenty years.
MAMTC -- the Mid-America Manufacturing
Technology Center -- is a not-for-profit organization that helps
manufacturers increase sales, productivity, and quality, while
reducing costs. Hands-on technical assistance and consulting are
available to 21,000 manufacturers in Kansas, Missouri, Colorado and
Wyoming.

The MMTC’s mission is: To Enhance the Global Competitiveness of
Michigan’s Small and Midsize Manufacturers. The MMTC is a
not-for-profit organization that provides training and assistance to
help companies meet customer requirements and industry standards,
increase profits, improve quality, and lower costs.
The National Center for Manufacturing Sciences is a
not-for-profit collaborative research consortium of North American
corporations. The largest cross-industry consortium in the United
States, NCMS is backed by some 175 member companies, an annual
R&D project portfolio exceeding $80 million, and a ten-year
track record in the successful performance of complex, multi-partner
manufacturing technology programs.
The National Technological University (NTU) is a cooperative
effort by 48 major universities to provide for the graduate and

The Northwest Lean Manufacturing Network (NWLM Net) is a network

SME is an international professional society dedicated to serving

The United States Council for Automotive Research (USCAR) is an
organization formed by Chrysler, Ford and General Motors to
strengthen the technology base of the domestic auto industry through
cooperative, pre-competitive research.
U of M's College of Engineering offers manufacturing and supply
chain professionals world renowned 10-day training and certification in the
area of lean manufacturing. The program is offered throughout the
year in Michigan, Florida, Virginia and Texas.

Utah MEP
MEP is a not-for-profit manufacturing consulting group that
leverages resources to deliver world-class solutions. Our mission is
to raise the level of competitiveness and profitability of Utah's
manufacturers.

VMEC is available to provide assistance to help solve problems,

competitiveness. This may be accomplished through local resources or

VPMEP provides business and technical
