The ACS is a self-governed individual membership organization that
consists of nearly 159,000 members--60% from industry, at all degree
levels. This provides ample opportunity for peer interaction,
regardless of your professional or scientific interests. There are
34 ACS divisions, representing a wide range of disciplines for
chemists, chemical engineers and technicians.
Founded in 1908, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE)
is a nonprofit organization providing leadership to the chemical
engineering profession. Representing 57,000 members in industry,
academia, and government, AIChE provides forums to advance the
theory and practice of the profession, upholds high professional
standards and ethics, and supports excellence in education.
The American Electroplaters and Surface Finishers Society, Inc. (AESF),
is an international, individual-membership, non-profit professional
society. Founded in 1909, the AESF has 78 Branches and more than
7,000 members, worldwide. The Society is regarded and respected as
the foremost finishing authority in the world
API is the major national trade association representing the entire
petroleum industry: exploration and production, transportation,
refining, and marketing. With headquarters in Washington, D.C., and
petroleum councils in 33 states, it is a forum for all parts of the
oil and natural gas industry to pursue priority public policy
objectives and advance the interests of the industry in a legally
appropriate manner.
The American Plastics Council (APC) is a major trade association
for the U.S. Plastics Industry. Through a variety of outreach
efforts, APC works to promote the benefits of plastics and the
plastics industry. APC is comprised of 26 of the leading plastics
manufacturers in the United States, with many members having a
strong global market presence. APC's membership represents 80% of
the U.S. resin production capacity.
The ASSOCIATION OF CONSULTING CHEMISTS AND CHEMICAL ENGINEERS was
founded in 1928 by a group of distinguished chemists who felt an
acute need for an association that would advance the practice of
consulting chemists and chemical engineers, and which would include
consultants who would conform to the highest principles of
professional conduct.
The Association of Rotational Molders (ARM) is an international
trade association currently representing member companies in 57
countries. Members include manufacturers of rotationally molded
plastic products, suppliers to the industry, designers, and
professionals. ARM is the primary voice of the industry and the
source for information on rotational molding. The Association serves
its members by focusing on the needs of designers, customers,
educators, suppliers, member company employees, and regulators.

Association (CMRA) and Commercial Development Association (CDA)
combined to become the world's leading professional association
dedicated to fostering, promoting and sharing business processes for
long term growth and value creation in the chemical and allied
industries - the Commercial Development and Marketing Association (CDMA).

IFI is an association of leading North American manufacturer of
bolts, nuts, screws, rivets, and all types of special formed parts.
Associate members include suppliers of equipment, materials, and
services commonly used in fastener manufacturing.
The Metal Finishing Suppliers' Association represents the
interests of suppliers to the surface finishing industry. MFSA works
to promote and grow this industry and support its members through a
variety of benefits. If you are a supplier of chemicals, equipment,
or services to the surface finishing industry you need to belong to
MFSA. More than 165 of the industry's largest and most
influential suppliers are MFSA members
Metric Importers of North America (MINA) is an organization formed
to correct the inequities being imposed upon the metric fastener
importers and distributors by the Fastener Quality Act.
Established in 1955, NAMF is the ONLY official representative of
custom and job shop surface finishers and suppliers in the industry,
with its members playing a vital role in the industrial world. NAMF
is an organization of management executives who are leaders within
the industry
The National Metal Finishing Resource Center (NMFRC) is an
Internet-based organization which was established in 1995 under a
program jointly funded by the Commerce Department’s National
Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the
Environmental Protection Agency. Industry partners
include the American Electroplaters and Surface Finishers Society
AESF), the National Association of Metal Finishers (NAMF), and the
Metal Finishing Suppliers Association (MFSA).
The trade association representing the fourth-largest
manufacturing industry in the United States. SPI’s 2,000 members
represent the entire plastics industry supply chain, including
processors, machinery and equipment manufacturers and raw material
suppliers.
